PATRON

Patrón is a premium tequila brand established in 1989 by entrepreneurs John Paul DeJoria and Martin Crowley, with master distiller Francisco Alcaraz leading the development of its production methods. Produced at Hacienda Patrón (NOM 1492) in Atotonilco El Alto, Jalisco, the brand helped redefine tequila's image in international markets by emphasizing quality, craftsmanship, and premium presentation. Patrón is produced exclusively from 100% Blue Weber agave harvested in the Highlands of Jalisco. Production combines traditional and modern techniques, including slow cooking in small brick ovens, crushing cooked agave using both a traditional tahona stone and roller mill, fermentation in wooden and stainless-steel tanks, and distillation in copper pot stills. The resulting distillates are blended to achieve the brand's characteristic flavor profile. The portfolio includes Patrón Silver, Reposado, Añejo, El Alto, Cristalino, the Roca Patrón line, Gran Patrón luxury expressions, and a variety of limited editions. Every bottle is individually inspected, corked, labeled, and numbered before leaving the distillery, reflecting the brand's emphasis on handcrafted presentation. Since 2018, Patrón has been part of Bacardi Limited, expanding its global distribution while continuing production at Hacienda Patrón in Jalisco. Today, the brand is sold in more than 100 countries and remains one of the world's most recognized ultra-premium tequila brands, widely credited with helping drive tequila's growth in the luxury spirits market.
