Overview
Single-estate blanco tequila produced by Felipe Camarena at El Pandillo Distillery (NOM 1579), combining tahona extraction, deep-well and rainwater, copper-pot distillation, and post-distillation aeration.
ArteNOM Selección de 1579 Blanco is produced by Felipe Camarena at El Pandillo Distillery in Jesús María, Jalisco. Made from single-estate Blue Weber agave grown in the Highlands of Jalisco, the agaves are cooked in traditional masonry ovens and extracted using a tahona. The tequila is fermented in stainless-steel tanks, double distilled in copper pot stills, and produced using both deep-well water and collected rainwater. After distillation, the spirit undergoes aeration before bottling at 40% ABV. The expression was selected to showcase the distinctive production methods and agave-forward character of NOM 1579.
