Fortaleza Blanco

Overview
Traditional additive-free Valley tequila crafted at NOM 1493 using stone ovens, tahona crushing, open-air fermentation, and copper pot distillation.
Fortaleza Blanco is produced at Destilería La Fortaleza (NOM 1493) in Tequila, Jalisco, by fifth-generation tequila maker Guillermo Erickson Sauza. Crafted from mature Blue Weber agave grown in the Tequila Valley, it follows traditional production methods including slow cooking in stone ovens, tahona crushing, open-air fermentation in wooden tanks, and double distillation in copper pot stills. Produced without additives and bottled at 40% ABV, Fortaleza Blanco is known for its pronounced cooked agave character, citrus, olive, herbal, earthy, and pepper notes with a rich, traditional profile.
