U.S. Market Intelligence
Regulatory, establishment, retail, and commercial intelligence across major U.S. alcohol and agave-spirit markets.
The Florida alcohol landscape
Florida's Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco publishes every licensed premise, every registered beverage, and every brand registrant in the state. We stitch it together into a picture of where the trade lives — and who supplies it.
The size of the licensed trade
Every physical place in Florida with an active alcohol license, plus how many of them are cleared to sell spirits. A single location can hold multiple licenses, so we deduplicate down to canonical premises.
Where those licenses actually operate
Each canonical premise is classified by its primary channel — restaurant, bar, off-premise store, and so on. This is where the licensed trade lives day to day.
| Channel | Premises | Spirits-authorized | Share of premises |
|---|---|---|---|
| Off-premise retail | 20,213 | 2,589 | 41.1% |
| Bars / on-premise | 17,962 | 5,343 | 36.5% |
| Restaurants | 8,922 | 8,922 | 18.1% |
| Clubs | 1,556 | 1,556 | 3.2% |
| Caterers | 489 | 489 | 1.0% |
| Theaters | 24 | 24 | 0.1% |

Registered brands, importers, and industry licenses
Florida also publishes the supply-side records that sit behind every bottle on a shelf: registered beverage names, the entities that own them, and the distributors, importers, and manufacturers licensed to move product. None of these are counted in the premise totals above.
Tequila registrations in Florida
Florida beverage registrations whose registered name explicitly contains the word "tequila". These are supplier filings, not shelf presence — and they are not yet merged into the Agave Atlas brand catalog.

Methodology. Florida establishment totals represent normalized physical premises and may consolidate multiple DBPR licenses associated with the same location. Beverage registrations, brand registrants, industry licensees, salespersons, tobacco permits, and other regulatory records are maintained separately and are excluded from establishment totals. Address fields are preserved as reported; blank addresses are not used to infer any joins.
