Fortaleza Reposado – Winter Blend 2024 is the latest annual release in Fortaleza’s highly anticipated Winter Blend series, produced at Tequila Los Abuelos (NOM 1493) in Tequila, Jalisco. Crafted from mature Blue Weber agave grown in the Tequila Valley (Los Valles), this limited-edition expression highlights Fortaleza’s traditional production methods while showcasing a barrel program developed specifically for the 2024 release. The tequila is produced using traditional stone and brick ovens, tahona extraction, open-air fermentation in wooden tanks (pipones), and double distillation in copper pot stills using deep well water. Carefully selected reposado batches are matured in a combination of French oak and American white oak barrels before being blended and bottled at 46.5% ABV (93 proof). Produced without additives and bottled at a higher proof, Winter Blend 2024 delivers a rich, agave-forward profile layered with vanilla, toasted oak, baking spice, citrus, and subtle floral notes while preserving the traditional character that defines Fortaleza.
